Brief But Beneficial
This book is not intended to be absolutely complete in the sense of a total commentary of all the books of the bible. As stated by the author it is a "Bible Summary" or simply brief highlights of the most significant statements within each book. To me, he was saying," come take a quick look, you can always dig deeper and get a fuller understanding of each books content on further and deeper study" I enjoyed reading the entire book and having my personal bible along side it and following through with more detailed considerations of my own underlined and marked passages. Yes, the book is brief, but beneficial. Do give it a read.

I purchased this book and have really enjoyed reading through it. I enjoy studying the Bible but because of the complexity of the book, it's difficult to remember where I read what. This is like having a little cheat sheet with the reminders of where everything is. It's also nice to read a quick review to peak my memory of the things I've read. Great idea and very handy to have for those who like to study the Bible.
This book is indeed a great little find. Especially for the price. It gives a summation of the general information within each individual book of the Bible. I was torn between giving the book 4 or 5 stars. I decided on 4 stars because of, although they are jaw dropping funny at times, the over zealous religious opinions offered in the "Notes & Quotes" section found at the end of each book summation. For instance, "the pseudo-science of evolution... and the move towards 'creationism'." Now that's comical to me. A nice little chuckle with a roll of the eyes. So take away the religious nut job opinions and the book is a nice little quick reference guide to the Bible.
I give this 5-stars especially since I got it when it was free. Free is good. But even if you pay for it, it's worth it. A must have addition to your Christian Bible and other study materials. The "Sound-Bites" (popular quotes from each book) is an excellent feature. Also, it appears you also have the "New Oxford Dictionary" (which I had purchased almost two years ago) you get the meaning when you hi-lite a word.

This is worthwhile and recommended as supplemental to your Bible study, but the Bible, itself, is your final resource and your primary Word. Man wrote this summary and guideline, God wrote the book. Always be a discerning Christian when using study and guideline since the Word is the final authority...

Again, recommended and not too costly, plus handy have on your mobile device or desktop.
